Pelham West also provides product evaluation and invention evaluation services to companies.  Some companies wish to outsource the review of outside invention or new product submissions in order to reduce employee workload while maintaining the opportunity to license outside products.  Some companies seek an independent review of submissions. Companies are welcome to contact Pelham West to explore these services.

As product scouts, we use two approaches:

(1) We identify and evaluate new products and inventions from independent inventors that can be successful in the marketplace, and

(2) We match those products to businesses interested in growing their revenues through the licensing of appropriate products that match their needs and sales avenues.

Product scouts by definition are paid by client companies rather than by inventors. Following this tradition, Pelham West does not charge inventors or new product developers for its services when matching their products to the needs of its client companies.

In working for established client companies, we focus on specific market areas. As a result, we are very selective about the products we chose to match with our clients. While our clients vary as to the stage of development the invention or new product should reach prior to their review, the most important criteria is that research has been undertaken that establishes the potential for a patent (or patents) on the technology.
